New Patient Visit

Our comprehensive new patient visit enables us to provide the most personalized treatment for you. At your first visit, we will discuss your goals for your care. We will review your medical and dental history, obtain necessary radiographs, and take a series of digital photos that will allow you and Dr. Lamont to thoroughly view and discuss the condition of your teeth, gums, and overall oral health.

Our new patient exam also includes a thorough oral cancer screening and TMJ screening. We will then complete a full periodontal evaluation.

Does Integrative dentistry mean I don’t need to have x-rays taken? NO. At Dr. Jennifer K. Lamont, DDS we use the latest technology in digital x-rays, which are extremely low radiation. It is not possible to perform a fully comprehensive exam without taking all necessary x-rays at regular intervals.

Hygiene visits are scheduled separately following the New Patient Visit. The hygiene visit is customized for each patient. Some examples of the hygiene services offered to our patients are: Preventive cleaning, Periodontal maintenance, Non-surgical periodontal therapy, Anti-microbial subgingival irrigation, and Laser bacterial reduction.

Does Integrative dentistry mean we can heal teeth without shots or drilling? Unfortunately, NO. If a cavity or fracture is present, it needs to be restored. If periodontal disease is present, it needs to be treated. If a tooth is beyond repair, it needs to be removed. Here at Dr. Jennifer K. Lamont, DDS we strive to treat every patient using safe and conservative techniques, biocompatible materials, and natural therapies whenever possible.
